- Multiple Rounds: The counselling process consists of three rounds and one mop-up round to seat the candidates.
- Merit-Based Allotment: The seat is allotted on the basis of NEET PG rank, choices, availability of seats, and reservation criteria.
- Reservation Policy: OBC – 27%, SC – 15%, EWS – 10%, ST – 7.5%, PwD – 5%.
- Separate State Counselling: Stray vacancies, if any, are filled by the state undercripisi separately through state counselling for state quota seats.

Eligibility Criteria
For attending the NEET PG Counselling 2025, aspirants should fulfill the below given eligibility criteria:
- Qualification Criteria: NEET PG 2025 result must be out and the candidate should have scored the minimum cutoff marks required by the NBE.
- Eligibility: The candidate must have an MBBS degree from a college/university recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
- 12-month long internship should be completed by or before August 11, 2025.
- Registration: Candidates should have either provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

MCC turned the process of applying into fully online and convenient for aspiring candidates. Just follow these simple steps to finish your enrolment successfully:
- Go to official MCC portal: mcc.nic.in
. - Click on the ‘PG Medical’ link option shown on the home page.
- Select ‘New Registration’ and enter your NEET PG roll number, application number and password.
- Enter the details required Personal Details, Academic Details & Category carefully.
- Pay the counseling fee online through debit/credit card or net banking.
- Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
- Once you have registered successfully, you need to login again to enter and lock your college and course preferences.
- Wait for the seat allotment result as per the counselling schedule.
Process of the seat allotment
The allotment of seats in NEET PG 2025 is based on:
- Candidate’s All India Rank in NEET PG 2025
- Choice filled during registration
- Reservation category and availability of seats
- Institute preferences (if applicable)
The candidates can either accept the seat and join the allocated college or compete in the next round for upgrade once the results of the seat allotment is declared.
