Details of vacancies
Stray Vacancy Round is held generally for the leftovers seats or no show seats after Mop-Up Round. These vacancies mostly belongs to government, deemed or private medical and dental colleges in India.
The seats that are not allotted in the previous rounds will be available for the round.
Students who still haven’t got a seat can try once again. The overall number of seats will change from college to college but it is basically both MBBS and BDS seats.
Candidates are advised to visit MCC website regularly to get the Updated Seat Matrix prior to applying in the stray round.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should ensure fulfillment of the following NEET UG 2025 Stray Vacancy Round Eligibility before filling the application:
- The candidate should have obtained NEET UG 2025 the minimum required percentile as prescribed by NTA.
- Candidates who joined a seat through previous rounds of counselling are not eligible to contest the stray vacancy round.
- Candidates who are already registered for the NEET UG Counselling on the MCC portal.
- Candidates should have valid educational documents, NEET scorecard and category certificate (if applicable).

This ensures that the applicants of the above age criteria (from 17 years to 25 years) can apply for MBBS or BDS admissions under All India Quota.

NEET counselling for admission is going on, but students always ask about the salary of MBBS and BDS after. After completing his/her internship, a government MBBS doctor gets paid a salary of about ₹60,000 – ₹90,000 per month (varying from hospital to state).
Private hospitals also pay starting salary of around Rs 40,000 – Rs 70,000 per month which rises with the experience and specialisation.

Selection Process
NEET UG 2025 counselling and seat allotment will be conducted by MCC on the basis of merit. The selection procedure consists of:
